Liverpool have just stolen it at the City Ground, beating Nottingham Forest 1 to 0 with a last gasp winner from Alexis Mac Allister in the 90+7th minute. It has been one of those games where Forest looked set to hold on, but Liverpool kept pushing until the very end.

The first half was tense and scrappy, with very few clear chances. Forest stayed compact and tried to slow the tempo whenever they could, and Liverpool struggled to find space between the lines.

After the break, the match opened up a bit, and both benches started making changes to raise the intensity. Forest brought on fresh players around the hour, and Liverpool replied later with attacking substitutes to chase a breakthrough.

Then the chaos arrived late. A Liverpool goal was disallowed for handball after a VAR check, which had the away end furious and Forest thinking they had survived the worst.

But seconds later, Liverpool found the killer moment anyway. The ball dropped in the box and Mac Allister smashed the rebound into the roof of the net, making it 1 to 0 in the 90+7th and ending it right there.
